Walk from Göreme if the uphill road suits you, or use a taxi. Steps and uneven ground; a baby carrier is more practical than a pushchair.

A car or taxi is useful; arrange your return. Exposed paths and steps: bring water, sun protection and shoes with grip.

Reach Uçhisar by local transport, taxi or car, then walk uphill. The climb has many steps; supervise children and consider whether the ascent suits your mobility.
Explore an underground settlement with rooms linked by narrow corridors. Choose this or Derinkuyu for a first visit if you prefer a less crowded itinerary.
Use a car or arrange transport from Göreme. Low passages, stairs and enclosed spaces can be difficult for some visitors; ask staff about the route before entering.

For a first visit, one underground city usually leaves more time to understand the spaces and enjoy the rest of the day. Choose by your interests, the route and your comfort in enclosed passages, rather than trying to collect two entrances.
An Avanos stop can mean watching a potter, trying the wheel briefly or booking a longer workshop. These are different experiences. Decide whether you want a cultural introduction, time to make something or a finished souvenir before choosing a programme.
